Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to book online?
Our preferred method is to book online where you can choose your date and time and also complete the waiver. However, we can also accept bookings over the phone, via email or whatsapp. Check out our Contact Us page to learn more
How long does the HBOT session last?
The optimal time for oxygen therapy is 60 minutes to ensure your body receives all the benefits. We allow an additional buffer of time where the chamber needs to pressurize. As a result, you will get the full 60 minutes in the chamber at max pressure so you will feel all the wonders of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
How frequently do I need to do HBOT sessions?
For most cases, we recommend 1 session per week so you can start feeling the benefits of oxygen therapy relatively quickly. You can build this up to 2 or 3 session per week depending on your condition and there is no risk to the body in doing more sessions.
It is completely up to you and your schedule and oxygen therapy will always have benefits to your body and wellbeing.
Will I feel the benefits after 1 session?
To maximise the benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy we recommend multiple sessions over several weeks, especially if you are using this to help with injury/wound recovery. After 1 session you will definitely feel an uplift but the long-term benefits come from multiple and consistent sessions.
What if I suffer from Claustraphobia?
We understand the being in an enclosed space can be difficult for some individuals. Our team are onsite to help with this as much as possible and can go through step by step with the chamber to help you feel as comfortable as possible. Once inside the chamber is very spacious and there is plenty of light coming in at all times.
Please let the staff know if this is a concern for you and we will take necessary steps to ensure that you have an enjoyable experience with us.
Is there anything in particular I should wear?
We recommend wearing baggy, comfortable clothes as you will be in the Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber for the full hour. We have pillows inside the chamber to relax with and you can incline/recline the bed to give you the best comfort. Shoes will be taken off before entering the chamber.
Are there any side-effects whilst in the chamber?
When we pressurize and de-pressurize the oxygen chamber you may feel an ear-popping sensation. Similar to when you travel on a plane. For most people, this will just require some jaw movements and yawning to pop the ears. For individuals with sensitive ears we can slow down the pressurization to suit your needs and make it less intense. Please let a member of staff know beforehand if this is a concern of yours and we will ensure a more comfortable experience.
Should I get advice from my Doctor/GP:
If you have a specific medical condition or have had any operations done recently then we recommend speaking to your doctor/GP. Our staff are fully trained to assist with any advice and risks to be aware of.
In any case, we will make sure you are in the safest environment before going into the oxygen chamber.
